CPM (Cost Per Mille) is the cost you pay for every 1,000 impressions your ad receives. It's commonly used for brand awareness campaigns, where visibility matters more than clicks.
Disclaimer : Enter numbers in your local currency โ the calculation works the same regardless of currency.
CPM = (Total Cost รท Total Impressions) ร 1,000
If Total Cost = 50 and Total Impressions = 10,000:
CPM = 5 (50 รท 10,000 ร 1,000)
CPM doesn't exist in isolation โ it's the starting cost that every other metric in your funnel builds on. Understanding how it connects helps you figure out whether a high CPM is actually hurting you, or just a fact of a competitive audience.
In short: CPM alone doesn't tell you much about efficiency. A high CPM with strong downstream performance (CTR, CPA, ROAS) can be a better deal than a low CPM that never converts.
